I'm going to UCLA. (Hey what's wrong with the UC's? Not 1337 enough for you? Huh?!?) It was a decision between that and UC Berkeley, a better school in terms of name but way too close to home... and I'd rather live in LA than Berkeley. Many, MANY (as in almost all) people I know are going to a school in the California public education system... How about you guys? Do your people tend to flock to privates or publics, close or far from home?

Congratulations on getting into Yale jeeze! I got rejected from Stanford too btw

Congratulations for everyone else & their colleges!

The school year is almost over thank god. Hearing other people talk, I sometimes feel like where I live is on another planet. I'm clinging to the Pacific, and I think I'll continue to scoot around here...maybe I'll make it to Japan, China or Peru someday.

In response to the college choices: UC(K) *laughs uncontrollably*

Monday, January 17, 2005

Hey everybody.

I applied to seven colleges, five of them UCs (University of California campuses). I'm hoping for those. I haven't really thought much about how long it's been, but really - I guess it has been about a year at the point in time that I'm writing this. I can't wait for all the senior good stuff (prom... a lot)... but I also just want to get on the other side of finals so I can relax a bit... (at least until AP testing!). I'm doing Winter Percussion, which appears to be going in an unsatisfactory direction, but I don't quit. I'm thinking about trying to find a job afterward - to get some experience behind my belt. (I still am a true job virgin!)

What I have to say to that Bridget Jones' quote: "ugh..."

Happy New Years... belatedly. Do the words scene, emo, punkster mean anything to anyone?

I want to see whether it's blogger that won't publish my last post, or if it's just my particular website. If this entry gets published immediately then my site has a problem.

Mleh! Your spring break sounds like fun...I'm supposed to go looking at colleges. Never been to Florida, I had the chance to this year with the band but decided going on a band trip to Florida would be a waste of time...er money. See I went to NYLC, and this summer I'm going on a People to People trip to Europe, and then my French friend invited me to go with her back to France after senior year and meet all her French friends. I have a feeling someone is going to say something about France...but you know some have about as much to do with the French president as I have to do with Bush...that is.... very little.

I thought I knew what D2 was vaguely but not really.... I forgot. Some RPG?

Hey that's awesome that softball is starting & you now have a boyfriend - hope he's great. Hehe, prom day is a busy day. I'm taking the SAT I that day. Mleh - The sleep issue is one of some importance, although I usually tend to ignore it. My friend in Tracy said that an article was published in the local paper that pissed off all of the IB students and that strikes me as kind of funny because Jacob was a pround pin-wearing member of IB and the article said:

"Parents in Fairfax, Virginia, have succeeded in getting rid of one of the endless series of fad programs that distract American public schools from real education in real subjects. Like most fad programs, this one had a high-sounding name: The International Baccalaureate Curriculum.

It also has a left-wing hidden agenda, as so many other fad programs do. One of the program's supporters gushed that it teaches students "how to think globally" and "how to make us part of the world."
" (read it)

I know absolutely nothing about IB, we don't have it at my school. Eh, I got new glasses? Lol, and I'm also making preparations for my trip through Europe this summer. Okay, I better go.

sorry for my delay-ed-ness...it seems I only do things when I'm supposed to be doing other things so (if that makes any sense)... Happy17th, Terrence! - I was going to dye my hair red! This color, but in this style.

Snow? No, no snow here...it's been really sunny lately actually. Congrats about superior! ^__^ That's also good that your friends are feeling a bit better about you making other friends, Virginia, hehe.

Jacob disappeared, but I think Jennifer has finally gotten her blogger account to work...if you're somewhere, out there, former roomie....

We're watching parts of the Godfather in Ethnic & Cult Diversity now since we started Italians. Oh, speaking of politics, one of my friends just started a political club for kids who feel as if they don't fit in with the "overwhelming majority of moderates (i.e. Republicans & Democrats) in California" ... it should be interesting.... I guess.... LOL, I'm not quite sure what's going down there - but I am going to be the secretary, even tho I don't think I'm an extremist, that's what makes it interesting.

for all of you active and interested posters, terrence is now 17 (since the 24th), go him. and he has red streaks in his hair. go him again. and he has his braces off. go him yet another time. and hes really really sleepy, so hell write a more coherent post in the first person some other time.

Jacob: Win the war? That's questionable...and people are still fighting about it and want US out. Isn't it Bush who wants to deprive people of liberty? Amendments to the constitution (except for Prohibition and that was repealed) always expanded rights, and Bush wants to take them away with that new amendment. BTW blog = web log. Yeah, well have a happy week.

Virginia: Well I hope you did well in that competition...hehe, I think your friends are just a little bit insulted about you saying that you got to know people at NYLC better than any of them.

It's been pouring over here. It really looks like Ireland to me now (my city's name is Dublin, and no I've never been to Ireland) But we were watching an old classic movie made in Ireland i nEthnic & Cultural Diverstiy...the one that has a scene in ET. (THe door is blowing in the wind, the guy swings the girl around & kisses her). Eh - I've been wearing myself out for no good reason at all. I beginning to think I'm mentally unbalanced...alright ttyl
